GREETINGS FROM KINDERGARTEN!
Dear Parents and students,
We would like to welcome you and your child to the start of a new school year. We are going to have a very busy and productive year. We plan to fill the year with numerous activities to help provide a rewarding learning experience for your child. Our philosophy is that young children learn best in a caring, nonthreatening, literacy-rich, stimulating and challenging school environment. As you involve yourself in your child’s learning experience, we trust that you will see our philosophy shining through…CHILDREN FIRST!
This is my eleventh year of teaching at Sunset Park and Mrs. Campbell’s fifth year at Sunset Park. We are very confident and well prepared for this year of learning. Our love for teaching and respect for children and their parents go “hand in hand.” We trust that we will have your support and respect for the upcoming school year. Your child’s success in school will always be our primary concern.
We would like to welcome Ms. Christian Mobley to our classroom this year. She is a Winthrop University intern that will be with us the entire year! We are very excited to have Ms. Mobley with us. She will send out a welcome letter at a later date so you can get to know her better.
We would like to share a little bit about ourselves with you and your child. My husband, Paul, and I will celebrate our eleventh wedding anniversary this December. We have two girls. Rayna is eight years old and attends Sunset Park and Maddie is four years old. We are expecting our third…and LAST child this coming March. J As I will be out for a few weeks near the end of the year for maternity leave, I am very confident that your child will continue to learn and grow while in the hands of Mrs. Campbell, Ms. Mobley, and a certified substitute teacher. I enjoy spending time with my family and friends, shopping, and scrapbooking during my free time. I have one cat named Callie and one dog named Bella, that I adore. Mrs. Campbell celebrated her thirtieth wedding anniversary this year with her husband, Johnny. She has one daughter, Meghan, which is beginning her first year of teaching and one son, Kevin, which works full time. Mrs. Campbell enjoys spending time with her family, walking the love of her life, Molly (her dog), running, hiking, and traveling to the beach. We are both eager to get this school year started with success.
If you need to talk to us at any time, please feel free to email or call. It is essential that our lines of communication remain open so we can work together to provide the best educational experience for your child. Our school number is 981-1260. Leave a message with the secretary, and I will return your call at my earliest convenience. Please feel free to also write me a note or e-mail me at [email protected]. Please visit our class website and blog at http://blackwellkindergarten.weebly.com.
Kindergarten is such an important time and we know that we are going to have an outstanding year full of successes. Please know that we have an “open door” policy and you are always welcome to visit our classroom! If you have any questions, concerns, suggestions, or comments please don’t hesitate to contact us.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Blackwell, Mrs. Campbell, & Ms. Mobley
